Welcome to miss World t&t

Message from the Minister of the Arts and Multiculturalism

Patron of the Miss World T&T Beauty Pageant 2015

As the Minister of the Arts and Multiculturalism, I am proud to be the patron of the 2015 Miss World Trinidad and Tobago Beauty Pageant. Miss World is, in fact, more than a beauty pageant. It is a celebration of multiculturalism. Intelligent and talented young women, from more than one hundred nations throughout the globe, act as cultural ambassadors for their respective countries.

During the past months, the 2015 Miss World Trinidad and Tobago delegates have exemplified the ethos of our Ministry through community outreach programs which aim to enhance our society. Moreover, all the delegates have been using their natural talents to build a better Trinidad and Tobago. This underscores the positive impact that creativity can have on the lives of individuals and on the holistic development of a nation.

The Ministry of the Arts and Multiculturalism supports all forms of our artistic and cultural representations. The Ministry champions the advancement of the creative and cultural sector in Trinidad and Tobago and strives to empower cultural practitioners to become beacons of socioeconomic change. Hence, it is natural that the Ministry would endorse this pageant which aligns so well with its mandate.

I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations to all the delegates. While only one of you will be crowned Miss World Trinidad and Tobago, there are many opportunities to promote our unique and diverse culture on an international platform. Your poise, charisma and wit have taken you this far in the competition and will ensure you future success beyond your wildest dreams.

Dr the Honourable H. Lincoln Douglas
